Interview Materials - CLM

 

 

 

Candidates pursuing CLM status meet yearly with DCOM prior to their certification and then meet bi-annually thereafter.

All your materials will be submitted electronically through Dropbox. Ten (10) - Twelve (12) days before the
listed Materials Due Date for your interview  month on the schedule, you will receive an email from
Rev. Laura Martin (Hockessin UMC) with instructions for uploading your materials. Your materials must
be uploaded by 5:00 PM on the designated day.

You will need to bring one (1) hard copy of your written materials and one (1) CD of your audio sermon to your interview for your permanent DCOM file.

Materials required prior to certification:

1) Autobiographical Statement in a one - two page format describing your personal, spiritual and ministry developments and growth. Please update each year.

2) Written copy of a sermon you have preached in the last year accompanied by a bulletin or church program from the same date. In addition, an audio recording of the same sermon to be uploaded to dropbox per above.

3) Documentation of completion of Nurturing Wholeness.

4) Documentation of completion of Sexual Ethics training.

5) Updates and documentation of completion of CLM training modules.

6) Written recommendation and ministry review by the church council or charge conference where assigned and working as CLM.

7) Written report from your supervising pastor describing your spiritual gifts for ministry and the fruit of your ministry in the last year.

8) Prepare and sign the Commitment To Highest Ideals of Christian Life document. (Click Here)


Materials required for bi-annual recertification must be submitted electronically through Dropbox, as stated above:

1) Verification of completion of approved continuing education event (1 CEU required)

2) Written recommendation and ministry review by the church council or charge conference where assigned and working as CLM.

3) Written report from your supervising pastor describing your spiritual gifts for ministry and the fruit of your ministry in the last year.
